I'm giving a talk this Weds 29th April, 5.30- 8.00, with artist Jim Roseveare, at The Reading Room, 12 Claremont, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 1HA. Free entry, all welcome.

I'll be speaking about the work I'm doing for the Never Wash a Blanket in May exhibition about my character of the Bird Woman.

Talk About The Work is a monthly networking and peer critique group for professional artists to discuss and show work to each other.

Sombre the crow

Sombre lives with me in Crabbe Palace. He is a gentle and solitary bird. He perches on my shoulder and uses his sharp beak for folding paper, and bookbinding. He'll be joining me out and about in the Old Town during Jack's procession on 4th May...

Egg-rolling on the East Hill

Thanks to Chris Broughton who invited us along, and who looked resplendent in his yellow tights and beak as the Easter bird, scattering feathers and laying eggs to expectant children through the roof of a cave in the depths of the forest on the hillside. Steve, Sally & I gathered together early on Good Friday to decorate our eggs, mine was the above Kray twins with bunny ears offering.
