This troubled pair finally made it to freedom after a difficult five weeks. They were fiercely pecked by a neighbouring male pigeon daily, but following calls to the RSPCA, a few temporary shelters, and me chasing the big pigeon off sometimes with sticks, they survived- and I saw them down the road last night- sleeping on a windowsill, curled up together.
Oh Lorna, what lovely pigeon news for a monday morning. I hope the book fair went well in Bath for you. I'm in sunny Brighton, in denial of getting back to work after shetland. It's baby bliss. x
